Easter Morning

The kiddos were suprised when they saw their Easter baskets. I put them on the counter after they checked them out, and my little monkey(Avrey) took her chair over and started sneaking in the baskets. She is soo funny. We went to my Dad's and Mona's house for an Easter egg hunt. Avrey missed out on it because she was not feeling well. She had an ear infection and a temp. all weekend. She did not sleep well either:( She is doing a lot better now. Hopefully the infection is gone. We go back for her 18 month check-up and Jacob's 4yr on April 29th. I can't believe how big they are getting. Speaking of that, Toby is getting big too. I will include some pictures of him too.

Easter Eggs

We had fun coloring eggs this year. Avrey decided she wanted to color all of the eggs green this year. Note to self: Never leave a cup full of dye and a bowl of eggs where little hands can reach. She dumped the whole cup of green dye into the bowl of eggs. At first we thought all of the eggs were going to be green, but somehow she managed to only get a few with the dye.

Update on Toby!

Toby has been doing great! We had a couple bumps with potty training, but now he is doing great. He goes to the door when he needs to go. We have also taught him how to sit. The cats have finally come out of our room, but they let him know that they want nothing to do with him. Here are a few pictures of the last couple weeks.

Avrey is so silly! Today I found her playing in Toby's crate. When I found her there, she just laughed.

New Family Member!

We are now proud owners of a beagle puppy named Toby. We got him on Saturday from Petsmart. They had a rescue shelter there. We actually went to look at another puppy, but when we got there she was not what we thought she was going to be. We was just getting ready to leave when out of the corner of my eye I saw a crate of three beagles had just come in. We immediately went over and saw his cute face peering through the crate and it was then that we knew we had found our puppy. Jacob loves him so much that he never wants to leave the house. Toby chases Jacob everywhere. It is cute to see them running. We just know that Toby is going to add more great times to our family. Avrey is not sure what to think. She pets him a little but is still getting use him. Scooter and Milo (our cats) have been hiding in our bedroom. We hope they adjust with time. Here are a few pictures of Toby.

A conversation with Jacob...

So, we have been talking about getting a puppy. We found a boston-beagle, also known as boglen terrier, at Uncle Bill's. We have never bought a puppy so when they told us how much she was, we were surprised. We thought maybe we could look at adopting a dog, but after some research, we just love the boglen terrier. Now we are going to save our money to buy her or another one. Of course Jacob does not understand why we cannot bring her home with us. This is how the conversation went...
Me: We are going to save our money so we can buy a puppy. We don't have enough right now.
Jacob: But mommy, maybe I have enough in my piggy bank.
Me: Well how much do you think you have?
Jacob: Ten dollars.
If only she was ten dollars. Kids say the cutest things.
