Avrey's Walking!

She has been taking a few steps here and there over the last week or so. Over the last couple of days, she has taken more and more. She even made it across the living room without falling. Of course that is not the video that I captured. You know how it is when you get the camera out. She has not mastered the skill but I'm sure it won't take too long. The video shows the wobbliness of a new walker which I think is adorable.

Jacob and Avrey's First Sleepover

We celebrated our 6 year anniversary today. So this weekend we stayed downtown. We had dinner and even went to see a movie which we have not done in a long time. Jacob and Avrey stayed overnight at Meme Debbie's and Pa paw Ken's for the first time. They took a wagon ride and even got to visit Toys r Us. I was worried about Avrey going to bed, but she did great. Now Jacob on the other hand gave Meme and Papaw a little trouble. All was great until Meme mentioned brushing teeth, then Jacob realized mommy and daddy were not coming back that night. He shed a few tears and laid his little head on Meme and drifted to sleep at about 11:45pm. Overall Meme said they had a great time.

First Day of Preschool

Jacob's first day of preschool was last Wednesday and it went great. He walked in and waved goodbye. No tears from either one of us. My little boy is growing up. The pictures I snapped did not turn out so I will have to get some more.

Fun In The Sun!

We decided to play in the sprinkler ball and pool since it was 90 degrees today. The kids loved playing and daddy did too. Jacob loved running through the sprinkler ball and then jumping in the pool. Daddy even joined in with him! It was great seeing them run and have fun. Avrey enjoyed the pool, but also loved to stand by the sprinkler ball, but not too close. We finished the day off with popsicle's. Yummy!

Preschool here we come!

Jacob is starting preschool next week. Yay! Today we went to see his classroom and meet his teacher. He was very excited but I was in the room. On the way home, he asked if I was going to be staying in his classroom with him. Hopefully he will be alright next week. I think once he sees all the kids and activities he will be fine, or at least I am hoping.

Jacob Singing

Jacob has been singing songs for us the last couple of months but I have not been able to capture it on video. Then when I finally did, I could not figure out how to post it. I have finally learned how to. He is singing two of his favorite songs, Little Red Caboose and Thomas the Tank Engine. Hopefully you can all hear his sweet little voice.

Children's Museum

Jacob and I went to the Children's Museum with Katie and Evan last Saturday. The boys had a great time exploring everything. We looked at the trains, played with water and sand and even saw the dinosaur exhibit, which I have never seen before. Best of all, Jacob rode the carousel for the first time. To top it all of we enjoyed cupcakes for Evan's birthday!
