Preschool here we come!

Jacob is starting preschool next week. Yay! Today we went to see his classroom and meet his teacher. He was very excited but I was in the room. On the way home, he asked if I was going to be staying in his classroom with him. Hopefully he will be alright next week. I think once he sees all the kids and activities he will be fine, or at least I am hoping.

Jacob Singing

Jacob has been singing songs for us the last couple of months but I have not been able to capture it on video. Then when I finally did, I could not figure out how to post it. I have finally learned how to. He is singing two of his favorite songs, Little Red Caboose and Thomas the Tank Engine. Hopefully you can all hear his sweet little voice.

Children's Museum

Jacob and I went to the Children's Museum with Katie and Evan last Saturday. The boys had a great time exploring everything. We looked at the trains, played with water and sand and even saw the dinosaur exhibit, which I have never seen before. Best of all, Jacob rode the carousel for the first time. To top it all of we enjoyed cupcakes for Evan's birthday!

Mommy's little monkey

Since I can see the living room/toy area from our kitchen, I usually leave Avrey for a minute to get something done. The other day I had walked in to throw something away and when I turned around, she was standing on the arm of Jacob's little chair, touching the window! I couldn't believe it. My camera was not close by, so I couldn't get the picture. But yesterday, I had the camera ready so this is what I caught her doing.....

Potty Training in Progress

So, we have finally decided no more diapers for Jacob. We have tried to potty train him before, but it just never worked out. Last Wednesday I decided it was time. I know, random day to start something but I did. Wednesday was pretty bad. All morning long he had accidents. The afternoon was better. Then daddy brought home some balloons and new stickers. Jacob really enjoyed that and used the potty the rest of the night. He made it through Thursday, Friday and Saturday with only one accident. He even used the potty at Marsh! Yay!! So now we are in full potty training mode. No turning back now. He is showing off his reward stickers in the picture.

It's About Time

Finally we have entered the world of blogging. I have always been interested in blogging but just never got around to putting it together until Lisa (sister-in-law) told me how easy it was. So I decided to try it out. So here I am. I look forward to sharing stories of our family with everyone. I will be putting pictures up soon (once I can get this all figured out).
